Hi I'm Ryan

I'm from New Mexico. I like fooseball and nesquick. I go to college. Someday I want to go skydiving, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Ryan. I live a pretty average life. I am in my second year at college, just studying generals. I will graduate in one more semester and I am trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. I love the outdoors and wildlife. I have done a lot of hiking and other adventures, mostly throughout New Mexico. Music is a big part of my life. I played trumpet in high school and now I sing. I love most kinds of music, but especially "chill" music (if that really is a genre). I just got a ukulele and I am trying to teach myself how to play it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, and my faithful mother had to drag me and my 3 siblings to church. Eventually I grew to enjoy what I was learning and also the friends I made there. I also noticed the happiness that came through the standard of living in my family. Eventually I went to college and decided to live those standards on my own will. From there I decided to serve a mission for my church. That experience enhanced my testimony of the Church and its center towards Jesus Christ in so many ways. I was able to see how even in another part of the world, the Church of Jesus Christ was still the same church in other parts. And I also saw that same happiness I felt in my family, in other families from totally different cultures. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the exact church the our Savior organized while on this earth. I know that following His standards brings us true happiness, no matter the sacrifice. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and inspired scripture that testifies of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am not perfect, but I try. I go to church every Sunday. I have learned recently that church isn't necessarily a social event, so when I do go, I try to remember why I go. I don't have a specific assignment right now at church so I just try to help others with assignments by supporting and helping any way I can. I also have a plan to not go a single day of my life without reading a chapter from the Book of Mormon.
