Hi I'm Lorie

I am a wife, a mother of six, a stay at home mom, an optimist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 6 children ages 7 to 17. The oldest 2 are my husbands with his ex-wife, the 2 middle are mine with my ex-husband, the youngest 2 are mine with my current husband of almost 11 years. I have been a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since I was 13 years old but active only for the last 10 years. In collage I have earned my associates degree in Accounting, Business, Business Administration (Management & Production Management). I am not currently not attending but am 6 classes away from my bachelors in business administration (management & human resources). I have chronic back pain with lots of other back related health issues. I was diagnosed as an adult with ADHD & Bipolar depressive disorder. Out of my 6 children all but one have been diagnosed as having ADHD and another co-occurring mental disorder. I am willing to help people when ever I can. I am always full of ideas. I enjoy cooking, doing genealogy, doing arts and crafts, and spending time with my children (who can be very stressful at times).

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed about it and I know it is true. I have learned about other churches and I can't understand why people belong to any other church. Every person I have talked to that belongs to another church besides the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has told me there is something about the church they belong to that they disagree with regards to the teachings. I don't understand why this would not be an issue for them and why they wouldn't seek out a church with teachings they agree with 100%. I agree with everything this gospel teaches.

How I live my faith

I am currently responsible to help find families to feed the missionaries in our ward. I enjoy my calling from God and do my best to ensure the missionaries are fed a meal every day of the month. I enjoy doing genealogy and helping my children work on their other parents' family's genealogy. I feel like it is also a calling from God. I am able to live the gospel through my children as well by helping them to learn and live as God would have them live. I am glad my husband lives the gospel, it allows me to be a better wife and mother. I am glad for the strength my testimony of the gospel gives me. I have been through a lot in my lifetime so much so I have been told by more than one person that I should write a book. maybe I will some day.
