Hi I'm Warren

I'm a programming geek who works two jobs. I'm roughly half deaf. I'm a husband and a dad. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a software developer. I get up every morning to go to job #1, come home and eat dinner, kiss my wife & son, head out the door to job #2, and then come home in time to get enough some sleep to do it all over again. Saturdays are mostly job #2. When I get spare time, I've been experimenting with Android development and some artificial intelligence techniques. I'll make a fun game someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I know the gospel of Jesus Christ is real because I get answers to my prayers. I see my life improve when I follow His commandments, and I see it degrade when I don't. Now that I'm a father myself, I recognize that the love I feel for my son is the same love I've felt from my Savior in my darkest hours. When I read the Book of Mormon with the goal of learning how to live my life better, I recognize the word of God that's inside. When I pray to know whether the book is truth, I get a "Yes."

How I live my faith

I help lead the men's organization in our congregation. I teach Sunday lessons once in a while and regularly visit a few families to discuss the scriptures and offer any assistance if needed. I serve the community as part of Mormon Helping Hands, cleaning up parks, restoring homes, and helping those in need. I don't balance all of this particularly well... but I'm growing, and my best is good enough.
