Hi I'm Chris

I grew up in Salt Lake City, went to dental school in Ohio, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am married to the greatest lady in the world. We have four beautiful children. I love spending time with my family. If I am not with them then I am at work or running. I have enjoyed working in dentistry for the past, almost, 10 years. I love working with people and helping them take better care of their teeth and gums. I have always said you only have to floss the teeth you want to keep. I also have fallen in love with marathon running and triathlons. I finally qualified for the Boston Marathon. My wife and I went back to Boston in April 2010. What a great experience it was to run a marathon with the greatest marathoners in the world. It is such a great conditioning sport. It helps me to keep the love handles off of my sides. My wife is my best friend. She is such a great support to me and our children. We would be lost without her. We have really enjoyed raising a family. That doesn't mean we don't have our challenges. Our oldest will be a teenager this year and we have already started to notice a little attitude. Oh well, we will face the teenage years like all challenges in our life.

Why I am a Mormon

What a great question. There are many reasons why I am a mormon and some reasons have meant more to me at different stages of my life. When I was younger I was a mormon because it gave me great direction in my life and taught me to have faith in Jesus Christ. I have been a member of the LDS Church my entire life. I have often told my wife how grateful I was to be born into this great church with all of the support and guidance. I continue to be a mormon because I feel a huge responsibility to raise my four children in a way that draws them closer to the Saviour. The church is designed to make good men great men. I have learned so much in regards to my role as a husband and father. Every Sunday we worship our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. In addition to being taught through His example we also discuss how we can be better husbands to our wives and fathers to our children. It is such a unifying experience to discuss how we can be more like our Saviour in word and deed. I have such comforting feelings in my heart when I talk about the Saviour and His sacrifice that He made for each one of us. I truly believe that we are all brothers and sisters. That everyone who lives on this earth is a child of a loving Heavenly Father. We can all develop a spiritual relationship with Him through prayer and meditation. I want you to know that I know that He lives and loves me. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

I live my faith by my actions. I strive to follow the example of Jesus Christ. I am honest, caring, compassionate etc. I have the chance to be one of the counselors to the leader of our congregation. This has been a great experience to work with the youth and children. It is wonderful to be a possitive influence in the life of young people. To help them to understand the role that the Saviour has in their life and how they can follow His example. I always ask myself the question, "What would Jesus do?" an honest answer to that question will never lead you astray.

In whom should we have faith?

Chris
My faith is in the Lord Jesus Christ. We follow what Peter taught in Bible that "there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). As we follow the Saviours example we will draw closer to our Heavenly Father and become more like Him. Show more Show less
