Hi I'm Jared

I'm a Mormon. I have come to know and love Jesus Christ.

About Me

I'm a pretty chill guy. I like to do a little bit of everything. I love sports, and I have played something my whole life. I used to love to be with my friends at all times, but as the time has gone by I have realized that I love my family even more. I hope to start one of my own soon. I'm just so excited to see a little me. While I was a missionary for the church I found a great desire for knowledge. I don't consider myself a very intelligent person (my spelling is evidence of that), but I have, ever sense, been reading and thristing after knowledge. I think that it is amazing that us humans can just keep learning and learning and learning.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church. I did not always live the teachings my parents taught, and in consiquence, I fell into a life style contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Although I did not think that my life style was all that bad, I began to feel empty... Very empty. Nothing I did filled me up. The thing that made me realize my error was my little 6 year- old sister. She would never do the things that I was doing, and I would never want her to see me doing the things that I was doing. I loved her so much, and she loved me. How could I live a life that she could not be proud of? I knew that I had to stop. I didn't want to just stop hanging out with all of my "friends", so I procrastinated my repentance. It soon came to the time when I was at the age to serve a mission for the Church. To teach others of the gospel of Jesus Christ was to be my mission. I couldn't do this if I was not living it myself. So I made a desision. I changed. I spent more time with my little sister, and family. I tried to pay much attention in every church meeting (I even began to sing the hymns). I began to read the Book of Mormon. I could feel the defference. I felt a strong sense of love from my Heavenly Father, and the love of my little sister grew on both sides. I latter served a mission, and am back home. I love life now. Life is full of joy, and enternal peace. I have been filled. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ can heal any wound, no matter how deep it may be. I love my Heavenly Father, and His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ offered Himself for me, so that I could one day be clean and pure... worthy to enter into the presence of my Heavenly Father. He took a few minutes of his suffering for me. The same is true for you.

How I live my faith

I have grown to love to go to church. I have grown to love to read the scriptures. I have grown to love to pray. Right now I am attending church and going to many church activities. We have many activities that help me pass the time by happy, and to meet new people. I have found some of my greatest friends while attending these activities.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Grace is available to ALL. God wants all people (His children) to enter into His presence! The life with Heavenly Father is referred to in the scriptures as "Eternal Life", or "Exaltaion". This is the greatest gift that He can give us. Imagine a gift from God... Just think about how AMAZING eternal life will be; being the greatest of all! I want this gift! I know that He wants to give it to me. We have to SHOW Him that we want it. This is what the scriptures refer to as ''works''. If He see's that we want it, by showing it to Him by our works, He will give it to us. After all, it is just that... a gift. We do not take it... It is given to us. Grace is possible through the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ paid "the price" for our sins. The way to receive that grace, we have to do EXACTLY what Jesus taught! He is the Gate Keeper. We cannot simply beleive in Him, and we are saved. That is NOT the truth! We have to LIVE like Him. This is hard to do! This is why He has always taught us through His prophets, starting with Adam, down to the present day. We can, at least, know HOW to live like Him as we follow the counsel of the prophets. I know that ALL mankind may be saved in and through the grace of Jesus Christ. It is NOT free, but it is for EVERYONE. What we need to do is taught in the scriptures by the Master Himself, even Jesus Christ... The doctirne is clarified, as it always has been, by the living prophets. Learn of Him. Show more Show less
