Hi I'm Katie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am autistic, I have Aspergers's Syndrome. I am very high functioning person. Writing is not my best subject, I enjoy math. I am a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am the only member of the church in my family. It can be difficult at times but my friends in the church help me get through it!

Why I am a Mormon

Words can not fully explain why I joined the church. After weekly meetings for 5 month a particular missionary asked me" why do you keep coming to church?" I believe my answer was "Because I enjoy the people and I am always happy when I go to church." Elder Munday said what I was feeling was the Holy Ghost. It was at that very moment that I realized the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints was the true church! I was baptized 3 Weeks later.

How I live my faith

I Follow the words of wisdom every day. I absolutely Love my calling as a ward missionary. I know that by setting a good example, others can learn.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Katie
God will help you recognize the truth as you sincerely seek it and ask Him for guidance. You can know that what you’ve been learning is true (see James 1:5-6; Book of Mormon, Moroni 10:4-5). 1. Sincerely pray to your Heavenly Father. Ask Him if what you are learning is true. 2. Continue to study and give thoughtful consideration to what you are learning. 3. Listen with your heart for the sweet feelings of inspiration from the Holy Ghost, who will to whisper the truth to your spirit and mind. 4. Follow God’s commandments so you can feel the influence of the Holy Ghost. You may have experienced feelings of peace, hope, comfort, or happiness as you’ve read. If so, you have already felt the Holy Ghost telling you that these things are true. Show more Show less
