Hi I'm Wendy

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in a part member family. My Mom was a member and my Dad was not.

About Me

I am a Mother of five children just trying to keep up with it all! My eldest is 21 and my youngest is 10. I have 4 sons and 1 daughter. My husband and I have always thought it was important for me to be able to stay home with our children. I feel so blessed to be a stay-at- home Mother. I love to read, take walks, nature, and most of all just hanging out with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a part member family. My Mother was a member and my Father was not. My Father did not keep up from going to church or being baptized as he did not have a reiligious practice of his own. He kept me on my toes though challenging my beliefs. I am grateful that he helped me understand at an early age what I really believed in and wanted for myself. My Father was an alcohlic and so our family had our challenges. I am the eldest of five children and felt the responsilbility of taking care of my younger siblings. We always had wonderful members of the church that would come and vist us. When I was 14 yrs. old my parents divorced and things got a little rough for our family. My Mother worked as much as she could to provide for five children on her own. The love and help we recieved from other members of our church during that time is somthing I will never forget. I had wonderful youth leaders that were always there to offer a ride our counsel. My faith grew as I got older. I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the road map it has given me in my life. I really don't know what my life would be without it. I continue to teach my children its principles and try to live and serve the best I know how. I have been blessed with a joyful and happy life.

How I live my faith

I have served my church in many capacities. I have helped with the Women's organization and youth groups and also the young children. I also served a full-time mission when I was 21 yrs. old. Through these organizations I have opportunities to serve in my community as well. Again, my life is very full and well rounded serving in these organizations.
