Hi I'm Robert

I'm a Mormon. I'm the luckiest man alive. Marvelous opportunities and blessings have come to me because of my wonderful wife.

About Me

By profession, I'm a lawyer. I'm also a certified public accountant. My practice is limited to tax, estate planning, probate and business matters. My hobby is music, in particular organ music. I play each Sunday for my local congregation, which is quite thrilling when I play well and distressing when I don't. Love for my family is the reason I do what I do. It is that love that gives me incentive to be the best I can be. I'm most fortunate to have married a wonderful woman who loves me and our children, their spouses and our 14 grandchildren. My greatest joy comes from seeing our children be successful in their own families as well as in the occupations and activities they pursue.

Why I am a Mormon

The tenets taught in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints help me to be the person I want to be. This gospel is true, i.e., that which is promised comes to pass. As a young missionary I learned that God answers prayers. I received an unmistakable and undeniable impression that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I believe the testimonies of Bible witnesses such as Peter, John and Paul, that Jesus is the son of God, are true. Conducting my life consistent with that knowledge has made me happy. My satisfaction in life is not dependent upon material possessions nor the accolades of my associates. Joy comes from know that the course I pursue is consistent with the will of God. Daily study of the scriptures and communication with my Father in Heaven through prayer enable me to see clearly what is right and what is wrong. They give me the strength to choose the right and reject the wrong. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ causes me to serve my family and my fellowmen. I feel good when I do good.

How I live my faith

Since my youth I have served the Lord by serving His children. At age 12 years, once a month I visited members of our Church to collect Fast Offerings, voluntary donations equal to the cost of two meals and distributed by the Bishop to those in need. Service projects such as shoveling the walks of a widow, weeding gardens, thinning beets at a welfare farm and similar activities allowed me to develop a concern for my fellowman. At age 19 I served a two year mission in Southern Germany, where I taught the gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone who would listen. Since then I've had the opportunity to lead congregations of 400 hundred members, 2,500 members, and recently my beloved wife and I served with nearly 500 missionaries during the course of three years in Southern Germany, Austria and the German speaking part of Switzerland. The reason I serve is because I know the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. Living its principles has made me a contributing citizen in my community. Its doctrines give me hope that my family and I can be together forever, that the associations we cherish here will be enjoyed in the eternal world.
