Hi I'm Christy

I'm a Mormon. I have 5 beautiful daughters and I'm a nurse.

About Me

I am the mother of 5 children. I love to read, scrapbook, blog and visit with friends. I also attend my children's sporting events. I work part time as a nurse. I also play the piano and enjoy accompanying choir in my church and community.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but I still had to gain my own personal testimony of the gospel. My parents always took me to church and so it is easy for me to go every Sunday to our ward. It always made sense to me that Heavenly Father knew us and loved us as Spirit children before we were born, and that He has a plan for our happiness and for us to return to Him. I also love that the Lord always spoke to prophets. This is something I share with friends who want to know more about our church. Most of them can relate to prophets in the Old Testament. Knowing that the Lord still speaks to our beloved prophet, President Monson, isn't too hard to explain. With all of the commotion in the world, it is comforting to have a voice of reason and consistency to listen to. The guidance our church receives from our living prophet is another evidence to me of God's love. My family and I live in the mission field. Our kids are often "different" because of their high standards and choices to follow the churches "Strength of Youth" guidelines. Although it is sometimes hard for them, they are building successful lives based upon these principles. I love knowing that I am raising my family with a love of the Savior and knowing how to serve Him. Whenever I follow the commandments and live the Gospel, I am blessed with peace and with the Spirit in my life. I can't imagine my life without The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I play the piano and the organ in my ward. I enjoy music and sharing my talents with others. I usually accompany the choir or singers several times a month. I also teach a lesson once a month for the women.
