Hi I'm Austin

I've grown up in 5 different mid-west states, I'm a college student trying to make ends meet, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well I'm from Minnesota, I was raised in Oklahoma and South Dakota, and born in North Dakota. I moved a lot as a kid, but I'm grateful for everyone I've been able to meet. I've learned a lot from living in so many different places. One would be how to work hard. I grew up on a ranch for five years as a cowboy and loved it. In Minnesota I lived on one of the 10,000 lakes so I'm really into boating, wake boarding, and tubing. I love just about every sport there is, and I'm always up to something or trying to find something to do. Watching college football and basketball take up a lot of my time now, along with video games in between studying for classes and hanging out with my friends and roommates. Oh and I can't forget how much I love snowboarding! One of my favorite passions. One of the best feelings in the world to me is flying down a mountain just shredding the snow. Right now I'm getting my way through school as a poor college student just trying to get by and loving every minute of it. I'm studying International Business and it has really opened my eyes as to how the world works. Life is an amazing thing and I'm trying to live it making every minute count.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm really a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ lives and that this is His Church on the earth. I also know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me, and has provided a way through His perfect son to give everyone of His children the opportunity to return and live with him again someday. I know that He has done that for myself personally through reading more of His holy scripture. This scripture is called the Book of Mormon and is essential to His perfect church, for without it we do not have His entire plan so plainly written and understood. He explains to me in more detail His perfect plan for every single one of His children extending across nations and boarders. As I completely read this book, I prayed and asked my Father in heaven for a spiritual witness that this book was from Him. My Father answered my prayers simply with tender feelings of love and peace through the Holy Spirit. As I have continued to follow the teachings that Jesus Christ and His Apostles taught in this book, I continue to feel those hard to describe feelings of the Holy Spirit telling me that this church is His. To this day I am fully convinced that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's kingdom once again established on the earth. That through these teachings we, as Heavenly Father's children, can better come to an understanding of who Jesus Christ is, what He has sacrificed for us, and how we can use that eternal sacrifice to erase the mistakes in our lives and never return to make them. I know that Jesus Christ stepped out of that tomb the third day. As He did, He shattered the chains of death which held every person bound that has ever lived on this earth. This church and gospel teach that in such great detail because of The Book of Mormon. I know that it is true. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that this is His only perfect church on this earth.

How I live my faith

I show my faith by living the teachings of my church which are found in The Book of Mormon. I start off each day as I wake up by reading my own personal scriptures. I make an effort to remember the teachings I read throughout the rest of my day and to put them to practice. I also attend church every Sunday to better understand and relearn these teachings. I participate in each of my classes at church for my own personal benefit and not to please the will of anyone else. I know that I receive blessings throughout my week as I take the lessons I have learned from church and put them to practice in my daily life. I know that as I have done this, I have felt a greater sense of peace in my own life even in the mist all of the problems I face each day. I have realized that as I have taken these lessons to heart, I have matured more spiritually. I have begun to realize the importance of my own family. I have also started to realize how much we all are on the same team with the same end goal. That is to live together forever with the ones we love. This is made possible by bettering myself each day and practicing what I preach.
