Hi I'm Ivan

I'm a husband and I'm a father of 4 children. I am a teacher at a high school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy playing various teams sports, such as football, volleyball, and floor hockey. I am quite interested in military history, and on occasion, I build plastic model warships. I have a passion for animals, and in particular, I enjoy studying whales and dolphins. In addition, I play the trombone and the drums when the opportunities arise.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members of the Church and I was raised in the Church. However, during my teenage years, I had many experiences that strengthened my beliefs in the Saviour, Jesus Christ. I read the scriptures, the Bible and the Book of Mormon, to help me understand the Saviour's Gospel and I lived the commandments. By doing those things, I felt the Spirit of the Holy Ghost and the love of our Heavenly Father confirming the truths that I have learned. My testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been a source of guidance for me throughout my life. When I am faced with challenges, I know I have some answers to those challenges and/or I know where I can go to possibly find some support and answers. The Gospel, when followed, does lead to a life of joy and peace.

How I live my faith

I pray daily and I read scriptures daily. I also lead my family in daily prayers and in scripture reading. We encourage many friends and acquaintances, within the church as well as from outside of the church, to come join us in our home for activities. I make time to help others as much as I can, whether it be temporal needs or spiritual needs. I try to remain positive and to be a good example as a disciple of Jesus Christ. I lead others to believe in Christ and to follow his commandments, so that they can be Happy and find Peace in their lives.
