Hi I'm Anthony

I grew up in Idaho, USA. I am a computer programmer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Idaho, USA. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems. I work as a programmer. I am a husband, and a father of four.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that God the Father is the Father of my Spirit. I also believe that the Holy Ghost is a separate being who leads and guides me. These are things I have been taught in the church and I know them to be true. I believe that God made the world and that I can become like Him someday if I keep His commandments. This is a great thing, to become like God, and it may seem outrageous, but I know it is true. Just think about it for yourself. If it is true, wouldn't you want to be able to partake of that goodness? Shouldn't you at least research it and find out for yourself if it is true? Why pass up such a great opportunity and blessing?

How I live my faith

In the church, no one is paid for their work. It is all volunteer, but we are given callings to positions as needed. I have two callings: 1. A Home Teacher. I am partnered up with another member and each month we go visit two families. We talk and visit, share a spiritual message with them, and check to see if they need help with anything. I appreciate this program of Home Teaching, and I believe I believe it helps us as members come closer together. 2. Venturing Leader. The LDS church works closely with the Boy Scouts of America. I am an adult advisor to the Venturing scouting crew in our area, which consists of the 16 to 18 year old young men. The same group of young men from the church are those who make up the Venturing crew. On Sunday's I and other leaders attend the class for that age group. On Tuesday nights, we also attend the church or Venturing crew activities. I appreciate that the church provides so much opportunity for interaction with other members. This way we can get to know other people and make friends where otherwise we might not.
