Hi I'm Megan

I am a sister of 3 brothers, I am a singer, a reader, a writer, a virtuoso, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just love the church. I love helping others and doing what I can to serve. I like to shop, see movies with my friends, and sometimes just find a quiet room in the house and just read, whether it's the Scriptures or just an adventurous story. I am planning on attending BYU (Brigham Young University) after I finish High school, that is where practically my whole family went. I want to receive a good education so that I will be able to grow up and have a family that I can love, support, and nurture. I like to play sports, such as lacrosse, soccer, and volleyball. I play the violin, piano, and if you consider my voice an instrument, I play that as well. I have a family of 6; Mom, Dad, and my 3 other brothers. At times I have wanted a little sister, but haven't been given that yet. I love going to Youth activities and Stake dances and going to church! It gives us all time to escape the worldly things and worship our Heavenly Father and experience things we wouldn't usually. There is so much about me that I just can't put into words. I have a firm testimony of the Lord, Jesus Christ. I know and sustain the prophet to be true. I know that my redeemer lives.

Why I am a Mormon

At age 8, I chose to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I do not regret this decision, even though I got baptized and didn't fully understand the blessings and things that this would bring. Since then I have learned the teachings of Christ through Leaders, prophets, and other teachers. I have grown to appreciate the gospel so much more. I continue to follow His gospel because I not only believe that it is true, I know it to be true. I have received my own revelation through prayer, church, and even just simple hymns. A hymn in itself is a prayer to our Heavenly Father. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, I have known what choices to make and what paths I should take, that would better lead me through life. I believe the scriptures to be the Word of God and the temple to be the holiest place on Earth, and the closest that we can get to Him. I know that establishing a habit of prayer in daily life will exercise my faith. Through this, it has greatly influenced my decisions and has strengthened my testimony. I know that this church is true. The Holy Ghost is there to help guide us through struggles and trials in life. If we keep His commandments, we will return to Him once more.

How I live my faith

I always try to serve and help out in the community. I serve fully in my calling as president of the maiamades in Young women's, and I give input when discussing and organizing events for my church, like youth activities for the young men and young women. We are always willing to help out with anything! Whether it's cleaning the church or someone's house, going Christmas Caroling at the hospital, helping someone move, or even just talking to a lonely person!
