Hi I'm Seira

I am 15. I am going to collage. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 15, I am the 7th child in my family. I have 5 brothers and 1 sister. I am attending seminary and college. I am going to get a degree in criminology. I love to sing, dance, act, draw, talk, watch TV, and spend time with my family and friends no matter what we are doing at the time. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was active in the LDS church, but I never really thought about it much. Going to church was just what we did every Sunday. As I started to get older I had many friends older than myself. I got to see three very respectful boys leave on missions. Until recently I could not every see myself going on a mission. After spending time with my two closest friends and seeing how strong their testimonies were I realized I wanted that. I never had a doubt that the church was true but I never really understood the joy the lord shares if we do his work. I have a quote that I found, I had read it tons of times but when I read it this time it really hit me. The quote was "How would you feel if the lord stood in your house and talked with you, spent the day with you? Would you act like you do normally, or would your behavior change? Your behavior shouldn't change, you should act like you would if the savior was with you every minute." I thought about that and realized if the savior stood beside me I would act totally different. I want to be able to act like I would in front of him every day. I want to stand for what he stands for. I thought that becoming that person would be so hard that I shouldn't even try. I was ready to give up before I even tried. Then I was overwhelmed with the spirit. I knew that that is why I have the opportunity to go to church, it is there for me to become a better person so that I may serve others and help them know the truth I do.

How I live my faith

I go to church and mutual every week and strive to be an example of the standards of the church. I stay away from inappropriate movies and people. So as to not put my self in a bad situation in which I make a mistake and regret. I say my prayers every night and morning and go to seminary participating when asked to.

What is a ward/stake/branch?

I have been in a few wards recently because of spits and moving. But every ward I have been in was like a family. I have friends from all the ward and I am still close to most of them. Any time there was a hardship in my family the ward was there. They helped me and my family get through a lot. Show more Show less
