Hi I'm Hannah Blanchard

I am a vocal performance major. I don't mind getting a little mud on my clothes. And I am a Mormon :)

About Me

I am serving a mission in Tampa, Florida for 18 months and I have never been happier. Music is my passion and I find great joy in it; however, I find even more joy in The Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am the youngest of 6 children. I grew up in a tiny town an hour outside of Denver. There is nothing like riding a four wheeler in the mud. I also love getting dressed up and going dancing or to a play/musical. Growing up my dad taught my siblings and I to "work hard and play hard". I am not afraid to go out of my comfort zone and try new things. Let's go on an adventure! I love meeting new people and finding out the experiences in their life that have led them to be who they are now. Throughout life, I have found more and more that God is truly good.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the same exact church that Jesus Christ himself established on the earth during his ministry is once again back on the earth in its pure form and that it is found in and only in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Don't get me wrong, there are wonderful people in other religions and some truths are found in many of them, but the complete truth, all of Christs gospel is only found in one church. "One Lord, one faith, one baptism." (Ephesians 4:5) I know that the authority that our Savior, Jesus Christ held is on the earth. We can be baptized by the authority of God and in turn be on the road toward eternal life. And I know this because I myself lacked wisdom (James 1:5). I have asked of God and I know with every fiber of my being that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the same church Christ established on the earth and I cannot and will not ever deny that.

How I live my faith

I don't want to just be a "talker" I want to be a "doer". Each day I try my best to live what I know to be true in my heart. I am not perfect- I make mistakes, feel pain, have afflictions and go through trials, but because of The Lord Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for the children of God, I am able to use the Atonement in my daily life. I know that when I am studying my scriptures, praying with real intent and acting upon the revelation I receive from the Holy Ghost, I am so much happier. "Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life." (3 Nephi 5:13) Another way I try to live my faith is to share my testimony and share what I believe with those around me.
