Hi I'm Sharon

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired teacher, who also worked as an entertainer, singing, dancing and playing viola and violin. Most importantly, I am happily married and have two great daughters, two fine son-in laws and seven wonderful grandchildren. I enjoy oil painting, birding, hiking, biking, fishing, boating, gardening, writing and arranging music and ballroom dancing.

Why I am a Mormon

I met the Missionaries when I was seventeen. I prayed and considered carefully the doctrine. It fit with what I read in the New Testament and I prayerfully read the Book of Mormon. It taught the plain and simple truths that Jesus proclaimed in the Bible, and as I read it I felt a strong spirit testifying to this. I did not enter upon this lightly. I wanted to know the truth about my Heavenly Father and Jesus. The teachings of the Church and it’s programs helped me in so many ways.

How I live my faith

I serve in the Church as ward music chairman and Chorister. I arrange hymns for instrumental groups to perform in church where I might play viola or violin. I like to involve as many people as I can in Church music. I sing in the choir and serve as a Ward Missionary. I also serve in the Temple once a week. I try to live as Jesus would have me live and help others as best I can.
