Hi I'm Thiefaine

I was born in France, grew up in America, speak Chinese and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in the South of France and lived there until my family immigrated to the United States. I lived in a small state called Vermont. There I learned many things, like became a black belt in Tae Kwondo. I learned to play lacrosse and football. It was a great place to grow up as a family. Family is extremely important to me. I have 5 brothers and sisters with whom I get along extremely well. I study Hospitality Tourism Management at Brigham Young University of Hawaii. This has been a great pleasure for me to learn about the many cultures here. I worked at the Polynesian Cultural Center, Hawaii's number one paid attraction, as a tour guide. It was great to watch people smile and enjoy themselves as they discovered the excitment of polynesia. I love adventure and to travel, learning is definetly something I enjoy most and my faith in God has allowed me to attain goals and come closer to my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

God lives. Jesus is his son. They love us so much. I think at a point in time we all ask questions as to what happens, and what is best for us. My parents met the missionaries in France through friends. Their search for peace and joy led them to these teachings. They taught them to me and my brothers and sisters. I'm a mormon because God told me these teachings were true. When I read the Book of Mormon I feel God strengthening, motivating and comforting me. For those reasons I follow the counsel and teachings of a modern day prophet and twelve apostles. Men chosen by God to lead us to a life of joy, with out regret, but only successes. I have come to know that God is a God of order and simplicity. That he is not one to dwell in confusion, but rather that he wants each of us to know him and interact with him. Through simple earnest prayer all can know that He is and that He lives. I can promise to all that when they read The Book of Mormon and pray earnestly to know if the message it contains is true, to know if God really does act in our days, if there is a life after this, where we came from, if there is a prophet today. That God will answer us and turn us to His son Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I teach every four weeks a lesson in church. I also visit some of the members through out the month to look after them and fellowship with them. I also attend a church sponsored university where I participate in several clubs. One of the most important parts of living my faith is my personal prayer and scripture reading. Every morning I have this time to read and learn from the word of God. This is really a great blessing. It makes me stronger and more aware during the day. It really helps me have the energy to get everything done. The best way to live my faith is with those I love most, my family. When home we go to church together, have activities together, and laugh together. I can say that our faith in Jesus Christ has strengthened us and brought us closer together. For two years I was able to go to France and Switzerland to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. To do this I learned Mandarin Chinese. I was then able to speak to as many people as possible to announce the good news of modern day prophets and of the son of God.
