Hi I'm Angus

I grew up in Japan but moved to the United States when I was eight-years old. I love soccer and classic literature. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm interested in a lot of things; from soccer to racquetball, Charles Dickens to J. K. Rowling, celery to rump roast. I'm the eldest child out of seven. I moved with my family from Osaka, Japan when I was eight-years-old and have been in southwest Missouri till I graduated from high school. I am currently a student at Brigham Young University. I enjoy studying languages and cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, first of all, I was born into the Church. On my father's side, my family has been in the Church for eight generations. Since I grew up learning about the Restoration, the Prophet Joseph Smith, and the teachings of the Church, I didn't question the doctrines taught in the Church until recently. Some events in my life caused me to wonder whether the Church was the true kingdom of God. As I studied and prayed fervently to know whether the Church and its doctrines were true, the Holy Ghost confirmed to me that what I had been taught in my youth was true. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet. I know that The Book of Mormon is the word of God; it testifies of Christ and His divinity. I know that God loves me, and because He loves me He sent His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to suffer and die for my sins. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and want to show my love for Him through my service to others.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in all aspects of my life, whether it be at school, among my friends, or at church. In the Church, I serve as a Sunday School teacher; I share my thoughts about the gospel with my classmates and lead gospel-related discussions. I have also been called to serve a mission in the Brazil Curitiba Mission! As a missionary I will spend two years of my life serving my fellow men and sharing the Savior's love with people.
