Hi I'm Kerry

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in a small town in Colorado.

About Me

I married late in life to a wonderful man. I became an instant mother to his three children from a previous marriage. We had two children together. Now, we have nine grandchildren. Currently I am a special education teacher. Because of my husband’s illness we have switched roles. He has been Mr. Mom and I have been the bread winner. I enjoy reading and spending time with my husband, children, and grandchildren. My husband and I enjoy taking walks when he feels well.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the church. I cannot imagine my life without it. There have been times when my testimony has been weak. But I always return and my testimony grows stronger as I search for answers. Because of the great love my husband has of the Savior, my testimony has grown and I have a greater understanding of the gospel. I have always wanted to be a mother and wife. Now I have a forever family because we were sealed in the temple. I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its teachings. I love my Savior.

How I live my faith

Serving other is one of the best ways to live the gospel. It not only lifts others, but it lifts you as well. One way I serve is through my employment. I teach special education. I love to see the light turn on when one of my students understand a new concept. My time is spent teaching and then going home and helping my husband who is on dialysis. At this time in my life it is difficult for me to serve much in my church. Service for me right now is at home. Home is where we first learn to serve others.
