Hi I'm Abbey

I'm a tennis player, a violinist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've never moved out of the city I was born in. Living by the beach, I love to swim and surf. I've played the violin since I was 9, and I plan to play it for the rest of my life. I play tennis for my high school team and love every minute of it. I am the second of four girls in my mom's family, and the oldest of two girls and one boy on earth in my dad's family. I am 12 years older than my little brother, and 13 years older than my younger sister in my dad's family. I love staying active and having something to do, which is perfect for living down here in Southern California. My friends, family and I are always enjoying ourselves!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and am grateful for it every day. I am a member of this church because it gives me the full knowledge of our purpose here on Earth. Through prayer, the scriptures, and faith I know what exactly I am supposed to do and how it will affect my plan. The blessings and happiness this church brings to my life makes me so grateful every day to be apart of this restored gospel. I know when we sincerely pray our Heavenly Father hears us, and the scriptures teach us how we can attain full happiness in this life. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true!

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day by choosing the right and being an example of Jesus Christ. I keep the spirit in my life by praying often and remembering Jesus' life and what he sacrificed for us on the cross. I attend my church meetings and activities. I reach out to those who stand in need of comfort and provide service like Heavenly Father has told us to. Being a Mormon makes my life full of happiness.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Abbey
Joseph Smith received revelation from Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ in the Sacred Grove in 1820. Joseph worked for the Church as the first latter-day prophet, organizing the first steps of creating the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; including translating the Book of Mormon.
