Hi I'm Zach

I'm a college student, I sing and dance and play the piano, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am nineteen years old, and the eldest of seven children. I enjoy reading fantasy novels, playing the piano, the drums, and the ukulele, singing, in choirs and solo, and dancing. Snow is a novelty to me, since I've lived in Arizona for a while, where summers are nigh unbearable and the winter is the season where everyone goes outside. I went to BYU for one year, and am going back very soon. I'm still not sure what I want to major in, but I know it's probably going to be something in the sciences. I'm very shy around strangers, but once I feel close to my friends, I am the goofiest guy imaginable. I was in band all four years of high school, and have been in a few choirs recently; the most notable choir is the East Valley Mormon Choral Organization, in the adult choir. EVMCO is a 700 person organization, with children's and youth choirs, and a full symphony orchestra.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in this church, but only recently have I really started internalizing the doctrines of our faith. I had not direction in my life, and I decided that I needed to find a purpose, and I found that this church is both meaningful and fulfilling. I don't have a perfect knowledge yet, but I know our Heavenly Father lives, and that He loves us, and that the doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true and clear, and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God.

How I live my faith

I participate in my ward choir, and I am a home teacher, which is where another member and I go and visit with and teach families in our ward. I attend church weekly, and go to church activities and gatherings outside of regular meetings.
