Hi I'm Shannon

I was raised in South Carolina. I work as a Surgical Technologist. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in the church from about the age of 7. But I honestly don't remember not being in the church. I love this gospel so much. I love my Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ for the opportunity to come to this earth at this time, to learn and grow in this gospel more everyday. I work as a surgical tech in the operating room at one of our local hospitals. I love my job. When I was going to school I had daughters. I was a single mom at the time. I knew that this gospel was important for my children to have in their lives, so we went to church every Sunday. I am now married to the man that my Heavenly Father put here for me. He and I together have nine beautiful children. We were both married before but know that this was his work that we are together.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be a member of this church, because I know the peace that it brings to my life. Amid all the trials I have had in my life I know the Lord has blessed me to have the strength to go on in my life. He blesses me to know everyday with great assurance that this is the one true gospel on this earth today. I have a testimony that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer and that he loves me. He has made my life more bearable by knowing that all I have to do to have his help is to get on my knees and ask him to help me. He may not always do it how I would like it but I know that it is the best for me. I have been blessed.

How I live my faith

I so love this gospel. I teach the 7 yr olds in our ward. I have done different (callings) things in my church since I was old enough to have a calling. I have work with the younger kids, then the young women, and just recently before this calling I got to work with the women in my ward. I try my best everyday to be kind to everyone I meet. I take my children to all the planned activities that they have for them, so that they will have the foundation of this great gospel in their lives. I love going each month to visit the sisters that are assigned to me to care for in this gospel. It brings my such a great felling when I service others.
