Hi I'm Lani Taunima

I live for adventures, the gospel is my life, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have a passion for anything that's eclectic, creative, and joyous! I love adventures, laughing and spending quality time with my favorite people, which is my sweet family. I find happiness in simple things and sincerely try to find joy in the journey:)

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church back when I was twelve and it was just a couple of months after my father passed away. At the time, I was too young to fully understand and realize how amazing the gospel was and is in my life. Going throughout my teenage years with the struggles that comes with being raised in a single parent household, my own sins, and just being a teenager- I struggled a lot with trying to find real happiness and peace in my life. It wasn't until I truly experienced the Atonement of Jesus Christ and felt his redeeming love for me that I finally felt and found the peace and happiness that I was searching for. I am a Mormon because I know without a doubt that this church is true and that this is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because this gospel has brought me soo much peace and has broadened my perspective and has helped me to know and feel God's love for me. I've been blessed to know that God knows me by name and that he is mindful of me in every aspect of my life. I know that that through Christ, I can be forgiven and that I can receive happiness and true joy. I know that God knows us and his merciful love is for each and every one of us. I know that families can be together forever and that through my obedience and faithfulness, I will be able to see my father again. I know that God leads his church and that he has blessed us with tools and guidance from Prophets and Apostles to help us return to him.

How I live my faith

I try and live my faith by being as active as I can be. Through what I've been through in life, there's one thing that I know that has helped me keep going and that was being an active and involved member.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Lani Taunima
What I love teaching people about our belief in regards to the Bible is that it is actual scriptural writings that our Heavenly Father has revealed through His prophets and apostles. The Bible helps us to know and understand God's teachings and His infinite love for us. Do we regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God? Yes, we sure do:) Show more Show less
