Hi I'm Rope

I grew up in Raymond. I am attending post secondary education with plans to attend medical school in the future. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I returned home from my mission March 2011. I served in the Argentina Mendoza Mission. It was a great experience as I was able to learn the Spanish language, which I love. All the people I encountered were amazing and a great learning opportunity. I have recently been married in the Cardston, Alberta Temple. We now live in lethbridge and I am attending college there. My plans in the future are to start a family and attend medical school. I love to spend time with my family. I also love to play sports, spending time outdoors, riding horses and roping.

Why I am a Mormon

My family have all been members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was able to truly know for my self the truthfulness of His gospel when I was given a decision in life that made me look for an answer. I was in my last year of high school and had been offered a scholarship to play university football or whether or not I should do what the Lord has asked all young men to do, serve a mission. At this time in my life my testimony wasn't that strong but I was able to ponder the scriptures and truly ask God if these things I had been taught were true. I read a scripture in Alma 48:17 that impacted me greatly and it made me ask myself if I was going to be like that. I know God lives and this is the church of His son, Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith truly did see God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ and was the prophet called to restore Christ's church. The Book of Mormon is the word of God and will bring anyone closer to understanding Gods plan by truly looking and searching for an answer. The Bible is the word of God and is a essential tool in understanding the Saviours teachings. Today there are modern apostles and prophets and they have been called of God. I know Jesus Christ is our Saviour and will be our Redeemer and will walk beside us and guide us. I am grateful for the gospel and I know that it can impact anyones life if they will let it as I have seen it it in my own life and in the life of others. I know if we pray to know the truth we will know and I invite anyone to know, all you have to do is look and ask.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday with my wife. I have been given a calling in my ward to provide service to my fellowmen. This calling allows me to get to know other men in my ward and provide help where needed in their lives. I am a home teacher, which means I visit a few families in my ward and get to know them and provide service.
