Hi I'm Stacy

I am a daughter, a wife, a mother, a volunteer, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I am Stacy!!! I am from Indiana and have lived in the same community all of my life. I am the wife to Shane and the mother to Jalen (14), Madison (13), and Jared (9). I am also step momma to Elisabeth (Lis) she is a student at Purdue University in Indiana. I work from home as a child care provider to three children. But soon I will be going back to school and will study in the medical field. My children are very active in many activities so I am able to be a part of that. I am an avid jewelry maker but hate wearing jewelry, I blog but I think I am the only one that reads it, and I love reading I just bought a kindle and a nook the same day. I am a huge supporter of Relay for Life which is an American Cancer Society Fundraiser in which I serve as a committee member. Also I am a board member for our local Miracle League which is a baseball league for adults and children with physical and/ or physical disabilities. Also I am newly serving on a board as vice president of a fund that was started at my children's school system that helps children that may not have food over the weekend, we also provide other needs that may not be met. One of my goals is to work with teen moms and start an organization to help them. I was a teen mom who was also in a very abusive relationship as a teen. I want to make something positive out of that very dark and negative time in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

My husband was baptized 3 months prior to my 3 children and I. I actually was totally against it at first and actually left my home with my children the day before my husbands baptism. He went through with the baptism and I was extremely unhappy. A couple weeks after his baptism the missionaries came to me and asked if I wanted them to continue to teach me and I actually said yes. I took the lessons for about a month and one evening one of the Elders asked me if I would pray and ask Heavenly Father if the Book of Mormon is true, if Joseph Smith was the prophet of the Restoration, and if the church was the True church. I received my answer!!!!! I then had a really bad fall down 7 cement steps and was unable to do anything but lay in bed or in the recliner for about 3 weeks. So I had a lot of time to read the Book of Mormon and study the Church. I was baptized a month and a half later with my children. I am member of His church because I prayed and received an answer to my question and I couldn't deny His prompting to join the church. I have had many blessings since joining.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing the gospel with those around me. I want people to look at me and know that I am Heavenly Fathers child without me having to tell them. I study my scriptures daily as well as praying daily. My family has daily scripture study and prayer. We have family home evening weekly. We attend services at our branch and stake weekly. I also enjoy visiting teaching with other ladies from my branch. Serving others is a big thing for myself. I love serving and I feel i live my faith that way.
