Hi I'm Taylor

I grew up in California. I am a now a college student at BYU Provo, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Sacramento, CA. I moved to Scottsdale, AZ when I was fourteen and lived there for three years before returning to Sacramento. I am now a freshman at BYU majoring in accounting. After my freshman year I plan to serve as a full time missionary for two years.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the church and it has always been a source of happiness and peace in my life. As I got older I came to know through prayer and studying the scriptures that this is the true church again on the earth just as Jesus Christ organized in his time. It is comforting to me to know that He has a plan for his children and that I can be with my family forever. There are many questions about life that I have had answered because I am a member of this church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church each Sunday. As a college student, I live in a unique student ward of all college age students. I am an FHE group leader which means every Sunday a group of about 15 of us get together for a brief lesson and activity. FHE is usually an activity done within the home with family. Since none of us are around our family we do this together as a "family" while we are away from home.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Men are asked to serve a mission at age 19. As an 18 year old member of the church, I am excited for the opportunity to serve a mission. Since I have a testimony of the church and understand how much happiness it brings me, I have a desire to share that happiness with others. My Heavenly Father has given me so much and I feel obligated to give him two years of my life bringing others the happiness that he has blessed me with. Show more Show less
