Hi I'm David Hawks

I'm a college student, avid sports fan, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Hollister with wonderful parents and four older brothers. I went to Gablin Hills, Maze, and graduated from San Benito HS. Growing up I have put countless hours into school, sports, and scouts. My hardwork has led to a 4.0 gpa in HS, playing 3 sports in HS(football, basketball, and volleyball), earing my Eagle Scout Award, and getting excepted to BYU. Outside of those three things I love spending time with my family. My four older brothers are some of my best friends and my parents, who I love dearly, have taught me so much. I have lived such a blessed life and im so thankful for that, and I hope that I can use my blessed circumstance to help others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because it is true. Our Savior, The Lord Jesus Christ, has established his church upon the Earth ounce again. The Father and The Son did in fact personally visit a humble 14 year old farm boy, Joesph Smith, in his humble prayer and instruct him to reestablish their church upon the Earth today. God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ still live and talk to us today. We also can receive answers to our humble and sincere prayers to know the truth. My prayers have been answered and I know without a doubt that this church is true. Its because I know its true that I am preparing to serve a full-time two year mission to share this Gospel with all that will listen. So that other people can also come to know what I know and feel the great joy this gospel has brought me. I testify to you that this is the true church and that the joy and love you can feel within this church is true happiness like no other that can be found on this Earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith as a part of my life. Every day and in every action I try my best to represent those things I believe in. First off and foremost I try to do this with service. Every child is a beloved child of God and I try and see them as that as reach out to try and help. The Savior's doctrine is one of joy and love, and there is no better way to feel this than through compassionate service.
