Hi I'm Amanda

I grew up in a family of lds members. I'm a writer and artist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to draw and illustrate creatures and characters. I play the flute. I love to sing. I do like to write short fantasy stories. I am a big fan of anime and animations. I also like learning about the world through informational channels on youtube and reading about other cultures. I feel blessed to have my talents. I am a student in college for English and Creative Writing but I am serving a mission in Argentina.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family of mormons and without them and the church I don't know what kind of a person I would be. The gospel has helped me set goals in my life that I never would have even thought of before. I love going to church and being around people who share my goals and opinions. It's almost a relief from the immorality of the world

How I live my faith

I attend church every week and go to all of the youth activities that I can. I keep a daily journal and read and pray consistently. I take the messages I get from the scriptures to heart and I try to help others whenever I can. I hope to one day marry in the Logan temple to a worthy priesthood holder.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Amanda
Opening up to other people is often a vulnerable thing since friends influence each others' lives very deeply. In many ways it is hard for us to know the motives and desires of those around us to identify true and lasting friendships. Our faith in Jesus Christ helps us develop healthy relationships with others that can endure through hard times. In some philosophies, a true friendship is formed when people love each other for the virtue they see in their fellow men. Christ's love and sacrifice for us all helps us know that His light can be in all of our brothers and sisters on this earth. He taught us to love our neighbors and be kind to each other, even when we make mistakes and hurt one another. His atonement is infinite and it can absolve any quarrel we could have with our families in the home. Our faith in Christ also unifies us and gives us the desire to do good continually. As we seek to serve those around us we learn to trust one another and endure through uncertain times in our lives. His gospel leads us to be firm in our commitments and to desire praiseworthy and virtuous things no matter our earthly circumstances. Show more Show less
