Hi I'm Diana

I grew up in Irvine, CA. I work with teens and have my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have 4 children. I love spending time with my family and I love to travel. A few of my favorite trips have included Ireland, Italy and Greece. I worked in treatment centers for adolescents right after graduating from College and really enjoyed being able to help make a difference in their lives. When my husband and I were married, I worked to help my husband get through his schooling and then was able to stay home for awhile with the kids. I am back at work now in a middle school. Two years ago my husband survived cancer and had surgery to remove a tumor in his digestive tract. It has been a long road that we are still on, but we are so grateful.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents stopped attending church when I was around 6 or 7. They were caught up in a life style that did not fit with the LDS church standards of not drinking alcohol and such. I began attending activities for the younger children at church with my friend's family. I also started attending church with them. My parents were always supportive and knew it was important. I was sad they did not come with me because I knew what they were missing out on and what our family was missing out on. My parents eventually divorced. I have always known the gospel was true. I am grateful that my own family that I have with my husband will be able to be a forever family. I know that we are blessed with a living prophet who guides the church today and I love the counsel we are given and how it helps us navigate this life. I know if I didn't have the gospel in my life I would have led a different life and I would not have the happiness that I have now. That happiness comes from knowing that Our Savior loves us and died to atone for our sins. It comes from knowing who we are and what we are meant to be. It comes from studying the scriptures and following the commandments. I am grateful for the prophet Joseph Smith and for the restoration of the gospel in full on the earth. I am grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and for the blessing it has brought me in my life. I know it is true and have never doubted that truth. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I currently work with the youth in my ward at church. I work with the girls ages 12-18 and help organize weekly activities and teach Sunday lessons on gospel topics. We do service projects in the community and within the church. We have activities that are just for fun and also do joint activities with the boys at church. We help the girls with their goals that they set and help teach them different skills that they will need in life. I also volunteer to help with my own kid's schools.
