Hi I'm Raine

I was born and raised in Arizona. I'm in Highschool. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a teenager attending an online highschool. I have alot of cats, one dog and various other animals/insects living in my backyard. I'm a tomboy and a total geek. I want to be a part time firefighter/EMT and a Physician. I want to attend John Hopkins University and travel the world. I play flute, piccolo babboo flute, irish whistle, Kokapelli's flute, recorder, and a little oboe just for fun. I love soccer and football but can't play either very well. I love practically all music my favorite song is "Downtown" by Petulia Clark. My favorite movie is Labyrinth. I love the Muppets and have every movie except the new one. I have only been in three different states and in two of them I drove real locomotives. I love and collect trains, frogs and ducks.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who were converts into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latte Day Saints and I loved their stories of searching for the truth. The first church I remember attending though was a Baptist Church in Nevada when I was living with my grandpa. The people there were nice and I did learn alot at the Baptist church but when I retuurned home I was attending church with my parents. I was almost 8 and was going to be baptised into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The lessons withthe missionaries were marvelous when I was done I had them sign the inside cover of my Book of Mormon the day I was baptized I'll never forget. The overwhelming power of the Spirit brought me to tears. I've been a baptised Mormon for almost 8 years and I have a testimony that this church isthe one and only true church and that President Monson is a true prophet. I know the book of Mormon is true and is another testiment of Jesus Christ and That Joseph Smith was a true prophet. I can not put into words how happy and peaceful I feel when telling others about my religion. I know Jesus is our savior and I know that I am a beautiful daughter of my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I try to live each daybetter than the one before. I obey my parents and attend church every Sunday I am able. I don't do alot but everyday at night I ask myself what I've done to serve someone in need sometimes it's as small as just giving my sistera hug when she's not feeling well and sometimes it is choosing torun someone's change to them at the grocery store when they forget it. my mom taught me to be honest and kind. My dad taught me to have courage and always help anyone in need when I am able. I'm a shy person but I try to be nice to everyone I meet. I want really badly on my next birthday to be able to ride along with the fire department. Idon't want the jobs I chose for the money or for the glory I've always been smart and I want to use that to help people. I'm inspired by my parents and Patch Adams.
