Hi I'm Jake

I am a Construction Management graduate, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married with 3 wonderful little boys. I was in the construction industry my entire life until about a year ago when I decided to leave that behind and move into the dental industry. I am currently taking the science classes to hopefully one day get into dental school. I am an Operations Manager for a mobile dental clinic that serves New Mexico students, and I love it! When I am not working or studying, my favorite thing to do is be with my beautiful wife and boys. That is what brings me the most joy!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in this faith, however, it wasn't until I turned 19 that I actually fully accepted and embraced this gospel and knew for myself that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ. Since then, I haven't looked back. This gospel has helped me realize the important things in this life, it gives my life a purpose. If it wasn't for this gospel, I never would have met my beautiful wife who helps me get through each and every day. This truly is the gospel that Christ taught, and I have a firm faith and belief in that. I have read the Book of Mormon, and know that it contains the teachings of Christ, it assists in the understanding of the teachings from the bible, and allows for a firm understanding of the gospel.

How I live my faith

Life is full of challenges, and there is really only one way to confront any problem that I may have, and that is through prayer and scripture study. These are the two things that anybody can do on a daily basis, and they are the two things that can draw you closer to God than anything else. This is how we get to know who God is, it is our communication line to Him. I believe the sooner this concept is understood, the easier it is to go through the everyday, mundane, things in our lives. Living the gospel is so much more than just going to church every Sunday, it is living it everyday. I am fortunate to be able to work with some of the families in the church, and try to help them in any way that I can, be it through visits, planning activities, or just service opportunities. I love this church, and the opportunities that it gives me to try and live a Christ-like life!
