Hi I'm Emily

I'm a Mormon and I rock because of it. I have lived in Georgia for most of my life. I am one of 11 children, crazy!

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mother of 3 boys who are a year apart each. Our first son was nothing short of a miracle when he was conceived after a miraculous in-vitro fertilization process. We had the privilege of adopting our second son through LDS Family Services. Our third son just happened, we don't know how but we are thrilled to have him bless our family. My husband is an amazing man! Not only is he supporting us all with a full-time job, but he is also going to school to finish his pre-requisites to go to dental school. At age 32, that is no small feat! We keep ourselves busy with playing, crafts, and wrestling. When I am not refereeing a match, I love to read and decorate. I love a good D.I.Y-"Do-it-Yourself"...or make my husband do it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I made that choice long ago. I was born and raised in the church but I came by my own testimony. Many say that it is hard to live the "restricted" lifestyle of being a Mormon. However, I feel it blesses my life with freedom. I know that in choosing to live a clean lifestyle, I am choosing to respect my body and my Heavenly Father. I know that there is a reason to life and enduring. When life seems too hard I always remind myself that this is a small glimpse of the eternal life that I will know and it makes it all seem worth it.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a daily, if not hourly devotion. Being a Mormon is more than just going to church on Sunday. Daily, I pray in the morning with my husband and then separately with my kids. I read my scriptures over breakfast. I try to set a good example for my children and those I come in contact with. Weekly, I attend my sabbath meetings and have the opportunity to preside with 3 other women over about 120 children, ages 18 months to 7 year olds. We teach them about Christ, we sing, and we learn. Monthly, I fast for greater spiritual capacity and have the opportunity to visit two special women that I can personally influence and learn from. I live my faith every hour of every day and am a better individual because of it.
