Hi I'm Sharon

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in California and lived there most of my life.In 2004, my husband and I moved to Provo, Utah

About Me

I was raised in Eureka,California. We lived out of town and my brother, Bob and I had 10 acres of redwood trees for our back yard to play in. I met my husband, Bart, at Humboldt State College. We have been married over 50 years and continue to enjoy spending time together. We have served 4 missions for our Church as a senior couple. Our first was in Scotland. We enjoyed that so much that we asked to go again;and that time we were asked to go to Cambodia. Since then we have gone to Novosibirsk, Russia two times, spending one and a half years each time. We have enjoyed our service to the people of those countries. We have 5 boys and 5 girls, each has a great family. We love getting together. I enjoy reading, crocheting, cooking and spending time with our grandchildren

Why I am a Mormon

I am a fifth generation Mormon. My mother's and father's families joined the Church in the early days of the Churches beginnings. I have found that happiness comes from living the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have read the Book of Mormon many times and each time, I find many things that inspire me to try to live following the teachings of Jesus. It is a blessing to live on the earth at a time when God has called prophets again to guide us and to help us know His will. I know that if I keep the covenants I have made with my Heavenly Father, I can live with him again

How I live my faith

I have enjoyed serving in the Church as a teacher in the children's organization, and as a leader and teacher in the women's organization. Since I was a young adult, I have had some responsibility in my church organization. I helped in our children's classes at school and served in the Parent Teacher Association.
