Hi I'm Shiree

I'm a wife, mother of four, a friend, a sister and a daughter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love reading and spending time with my husband & kids. I love warm sunny days when we can just stay outside and enjoy the beauty around us.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up attending the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was taught the doctrines at a very young age. As I grew older, I started to study more on my own and tried to receive answers to my own prayers and to see if what I had been taught was true. I remember one day realizing that I didn't really know for sure that the Book of Mormon was the word of God. I had read it but hadn't really prayed about it. So I fasted from food & drink for 48 hours (not normally recommended) & at the end of the fast I knelt and asked God if the Book of Mormon was from him. I was overcome with the greatest feeling of peace, and I knew from top to bottom that the Book of Mormon was from God. I also realized in that moment that I had always known and that the peace I was feeling was just a stronger manifestation of what I had felt before in my life. From that day I have grown to love the Book of Mormon even more. I have read it and re-read it and I have found hope & peace & comfort & answers to specific problems that I was dealing with in life. I know that God answers prayers and that I can have His guidance in my life. And that's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My first priority in living my faith is to keep the commandments as best as I can so that I can have the Holy Ghost guide me in all I do. I try to be a good mother and teach my children the difference between right and wrong. I also try and teach them to have high moral standards & to be honest and true in all they do. I also try and serve others around me by just being aware of others and trying to lift their burdens if I can. I think that trying to do what Christ did in seeking out those who were lost or hurt and helping them is the best way I can live my faith.
