Hi I'm Karen

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Utah. I have lived in many States and have a family everywhere I go because of this wonderful Church.

About Me

My favorite job is that of Mother, and Grandmother. I enjoy crafts, games, playing on the computer, especially doing Computer Graphics. I love to travel and enjoy seeing all the wonderful things God has made available to us.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was young my Mother and Father were divorced. Mom went to church when I was young then quit attending church, so if we wanted to go it was our choice. When I got baptized it was because that was the right thing to do. I feel I didn't come to my understanding of what it all meant until much later. I was lucky to have a group of friends that all came from good homes, and really made a difference in my life. They kept me going and strong. One other thing that was really meaningful to me were my girls camp experiences. The spirit there was amazing. In seminary I gained so much knowledge about the church, but remember a time when they were building a new different Christian church near where I lived. I thought of going there, and talked with my seminary teacher about it. I loved what he told me, "don't lose faith in what you already know because of what you don't know". I have gone through so many hard trials in my life, but the reason I am a Mormon is because I have had so many strong experiences over the years of feeling the spirit of God and his truth that it is set in my heart. I may stubble sometimes, but know that God is always there to catch me. I have never let go of that knowledge, nor the knowledge of how the members become your family. I know God, and his Son Jesus Christ have a special plan for all of us, it is amazing and it is real!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by letting others around me know how strongly I feel about this Church. I have seen several of my friends and family baptized. I love working with the missionaries, they are amazing how they enrich peoples lives. I am very honored when I can do things for them, and they are so great about doing things for me. I have women that I go visit teach each month, that is going to their home and checking on them. Leaving a message, and providing help as needed. It is wonderful to get to know this different people. I strive to be a friend to all and not judge anyone, just love them for who they are.
