Hi I'm Jesse

I'm a Mormon. I'm a surfer, I'm a Surfboard shaper. I am a father.

About Me

I own my own surfboard company on the Gold Coast, Queensland Australia. I am 32 years old. I surf everyday, my life revolves heavily around the ocean and my family. It's what connects me most to my God and helps to appreciate all the beauty that he's' created and everything that he's given me. I have a beautiful wife and an 8 month old daughter, my first one!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church but I fell away from it during my teen years and into early adulthood, in total I was away for about 12 years, and my life was so empty. I still had my family and everything that God had given me, but my attitude was different. I wasn't happy, I could never be satisfied and deep down I was depressed. Coming back to church has revitalised me. My life is amazing again I wake up stoked on life everyday, and I face my challenges with a smile. I finally have all the tools to direct my life to make my own decisions and to be confident in myself and where I'm heading. Coming to Church and putting my faith in Jesus Christ and my Lord God has done that for me. I know that no matter what life throws at me I have a strong family unit that can cope with it, and that my God has my back. These days I have no secrets, I tell the truth at all times, I have nothing to hide, I'm honest, I'm loved, I know how to love, I am truly grateful for what i have, I have faith, and because of that I AM FREE!

How I live my faith

I am a priesthood holder, I serve on the Ward Council as a Ward Mission Leader. In english that means that I work closely with the Missionaries in my ward, I organise them (actually truth be told they organise me) and we work out who we are going to teach, who needs help out there, what we can do to help converts who are new to our ward, and who's struggling in our ward. Its our job to serve in the trenches and to keep our guys happy, motivated and on track with their goals. I am a practical guy and I love to roll my sleeves up, get involved and be useful I love my calling, I remember how much better my life was when I started coming back to church and the difference it made in me and the happiness it brought to me... and I guess I just want everyone to have that same opportunity that I was so graciously given.
