Hi I'm Nancy.

I love uplifting movies, music, and books. I am a wife, a mom, a grandmother, and an educator. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Presently, I teach high school Spanish. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in French and Spanish. Strange as it may seem, I have never taught any French. I enjoy teaching, playing the piano, reading, and doing anything with my family. I am the mother of four, the grandmother of twelve, and the teacher of hundreds.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was young, my mother took me to church, but my father did not attend except on special occasions. I loved my family and, more than anything, wanted them to attend church together as I had seen other families do. I thought the world of my father. He was intelligent, talented, and handsome, but our family did not enjoy all of the blessings that activity in the gospel has to offer. Even at a young age I knew that the church was true. I could feel it. Everything that I read only made me more sure of my earlier witness that Jesus is the Christ and that we can live with our families forever. I wanted my future family to be a forever family, so I have tried to live my life accordingly. Everything that I am today is a result of that goal.

How I live my faith

Every day our family kneels for family prayer. My husband and I also read and study the scriptures daily. Studying the life of Jesus Christ and following His example has helped me understand the value of being a good teacher. At church, I presently teach children ages 3-12. Over the years I have served in many capacities: pianist, chorister, youth leader, cub scout den leader, teacher in the organization for women, and others. Each calling required giving of my time, but in each case, I was blessed for my service.
