Hi I'm Brendon

I grew up in St.George, Utah. I'm a longboarder, a runner, a derby truck builder, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Brendon. I have always loved working hard in all that I do. I think this is because while I was growing up my parents always had us working on something in the house. Most of the time it was yard work, but sometimes it would be improving something in the house. From growing up this way I don't like to sit around, that drives me crazy. I spend a lot of time outdoors or working with my hands. Most of the time when someone is looking for me they find me doing something. I also love working on cars, talking about super heros with my brothers, and working out. One thing that I love to do is go longboarding. There is nothing better then crusing down a hill on a longboard while cranking my favorite tunes on my iPod.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but I truly came to know that the church is true when I was 14. I remember how it all happened as if it were yesterday. While growing up in the church I always heard my teachers and parents say they know that it is true. They also said in order for you to know you need to read and pray about The Book of Mormon, so I did. I remember sitting in my living room on my favorite couch reading in The Book of Mormon. I put the book down and then got on my knees to ask Heavenly Father if He would let me know. I then picked up the book and continued reading. Sudenly I had this peace come over me and I felt something in my heart tell me that it was true. Ever since that day I have known it is true. I like to relate my experience to Joseph Smith whenever I tell someone about it because he was also 14 years old when he knelt in prayer and recieved a answer from our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying everyday to become more like our Savior Jesus Christ. I do this by reading the scriptures and praying everyday. I just returned serving as a missionary, and being a representative of Jesus Christ in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Now I don't go out everyday and preach, but I still try to be a example of Christ and invite everyone to follow Him.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Mormons don't help just Mormons, they try to help everyone. As Mormons, when we are baptized we promoise totry to be like Jesus in all that we do. One of the things he did was serve others. He went about doing good to everyone He met. We to can do good to everyone we meet be serving them when they need help. Show more Show less
