Hi I'm Alyce

I'm a country girl at heart. I'm an aspiring graduate student, mother, and world traveler....who happens to be Mormon!

About Me

Hello! My name is Alyce, the 6th of 7 children. I grew up in North Dakota, went to college at Southern Utah University, and am now living in the grand state of Arizona. I long to move back to the Midwest, but jobs and other circumstances haven't allowed that yet. I'm enjoying the "dink" ( double income no kids) life style with my husband while pursuing a goal to become a CRNA. We are actively trying to adopt, but for now are enjoying our two four legged kids, Emma and Hank, named after characters in one of the best Canadian comedies, corner gas. I'm shy, enjoy sports and nature, and a good book.

Why I am a Mormon

"I know it, I love it, I live it." Ann Dibb. This pretty much sums it up for me. The "I knows" outnumber the "why's" for me. While I have lots to learn about the Gospel, I do know its real. I know that God lives, as does His Son, Jesus Christ. I'm grateful to have a modern day Prophet, whom if I follow his counsel, I can be protected.

How I live my faith

I'm active in my ward, I stay very busy with my calling in relief society, which is an organization within the church that all women 18 years or older belong to. I've learned so much about the church and the role of women in it, from this calling. This calling has forced me out of my shell, and in doing so I've made some great friends. I try to follow the Saviors example in every day life, and just live by the golden rule. I attend church most Sundays for three hours, and occasionally attend any other activities sponsored by the church. I'm lucky to live close to the Mesa AZ temple and try to go often.
