Hi I'm Lori

I am an Idaho girl. Mother of six and love being a grandma of 17. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised on a ranch or farm most of my life. I love the outdoors and am so happy when experiencing the beauty and creations of the outdoors with my husband and family. I feel my Heavenly Father's love when I realize He created the outdoors for ME to experience, knowing how much I would love it. Love yard work & gardening. Even with that my greatest love is my Husband who is my soul mate and my family. I went to BYU Idaho (Rick's College) after High school. Got my degree in Secretarial Science then got married. Loved raising my kids. I also love the fact that my husband & I share so many interests together. I workout in a variety of ways. Love fast walking, biking, and working out with weights and aerobics. Hiking is fun too. Sewing has always been a big part of my life until my kids all grew up and now I do alot of quilting. Love book clubs and reading history or autobiographies, but love historical novels. Geneology and indexing have been a big part of my life too. Love to learn when I find the time to do it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am so grateful in this world of unsurety, to have the Church which is steadfast and unmoveable in its beliefs. It is another example to me of the LOVE my Heavenly Father has for ME that we are not alone. I can find answers that I need in every aspect of my life and an assurity that they are right. I have felt that overwhelming feeling of peace as I have felt my Savior's love. It has been such a blessing to have these things to guide me in raising my family. The biggest reason is because I have had a witness that it is true. As I study and pray I have had witness time and time again that the Principles I am studying are true. I feel in my heart "This is Truth" and it is right. I know God lives and loves us, ME. I know of my Savior's love and forgiveness. That He truly waits at the door for us to knock so that He can help us, ALL OF US, no matter what we have done. I know the Holy Spirit guides, because I have been helped many times. Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God and had the courage to stand for what he had witnessed at a time when religions were in chaos. Even when many turned against him. But he KNEW God & His son Jesus Christ and that revelation exists, even today. And that is what I know is true.

How I live my faith

I serve where ever I am called to serve. I attend church each Sunday, because of the strength and renewing it brings to me to gather with so many others to worship and learn. I try to keep family ties strong to support and love each other. I study and pray each day. I pay Tithing and Fast Offerings to help build churches and temples for others to have these blessings and to help the needy. I have worked with many Humanitarian projects to help the World in need. I am the Relief Society President, over the Women's organization, in our area. We just finished 21 quilts to give to the Fire Department, Food Bank, and Bishop's in our area, for those in need. We are now collecting for the Food Bank, and American Mother's to help with those in need in our area. It is the Lord's work. Those are the things that keep me faithful.
