Hi I'm Kate

I grew up in the mid-west, but now call Utah home. I'm a junior high school teacher. I'm a singer. I'm a blogger. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a twenty-something single girl. I enjoy: traveling, visiting the public library frequently, cooking, sewing, reading, walking, writing, teaching, singing, blogging, shopping, and trying new things. I graduated in Family and Consumer Science Education from BYU-Idaho. I am Junior High School teacher and have a special place in my heart for those going through that awkward stage of life. I have a passion for helping women/girls find their true selves. I love pineapple, chocolate, macaroni and cheese, and writing in my journal.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised LDS, and have always clung to the principles of the gospel. As I grew up I saw how following the commandments and trusting in our Savior, Jesus Christ, blessed my life. In the world today there are so many mixed messages on where to find peace and the meaning of life. I have come to know that the only peace and direction in this life, is through the gospel of Jesus Christ. My life has been full of the unexpected. As I've trusted in the Lord to direct my path, He's made more of my life than I could have ever dreamed of. His way is the only way to Happiness.

How I live my faith

I attend church each Sunday with other young single adults. It's wonderful to be able to share perspectives on apply the teachings of the gospel to our everyday trials in our similar situations of life. Living so far away from my own family, it's so nice to have a "church family" for support. Any time I've moved, I never worry about finding friends. I know that I will find them at church. There is always a place for everyone. I love serving in the ward: planning activities, teaching lessons, speaking in church, singing, and anywhere else there is a need. In my personal spiritual habits I read my scriptures and pray to my Heavenly Father daily. I've learned if I have concerns and worries, it is always important to our Heavenly Father. He loves us. He wants us to succeed in life. I feel closer to Him as I learn of His plan and His love for His children.
