Hi I'm Becky

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife, a mother to three, and a grandma to nine. I spent the first several years of my married life living overseas (Iran and Austria) until a compromise with my husband (if we can return home to raise our children I will travel with you all you want when they are launched) took us home to Utah. After the children were raised I returned to college, earned my degree in English and Psychology, and taught high school for fifteen years. I'm now busy living up to my end of that bargain I made with my husband. We travel often and have seen much of this wonderful world.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and am very proud that every single ancestral line crossed the plains before the railroad. My family of origin was not "active" in the Church and I came to "being a Mormon" through my friends. I was "fellowshipped" by my Primary class when I was seven years old, took myself to the Salt Lake Tabernacle to be baptized when I was nine years old, and was married in the Salt Lake Temple when I was nineteen years old. I am a Mormon because I have an abiding faith in my Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ and the Church offers me a pathway back to live with them again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be kind to all. I live my faith by serving my family, my community, and my church. I try to treat others as I wish to be treated - with love, thoughtfulness, and kindness.
