Hi I'm Tyler

I'm a Mormon- a Latter Day Saint. Right now I am serving a mission for the church.

About Me

I was born in Utah but I have lived in six different states now. Its nice to be serving my mission here in New England because I use to live in Rhode Island. I enjoy being outdoors- especially in Utah. My family means everything to me. My mom has 10 sibilings- all married with kids. My dad has several brothers and sisters as well. All of my aunts and uncles are married in the Temple and have children. My parents were married in the Temple. I have two little sisters.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The gospel has always been important to me. I am grateful to my parents for raising me in the church. I have stayed a member of the church because I have prayed and received an answer from the Lord that this is His religion. The church has taught me how to strengthen my relationship with my Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving a two-year mission for the church. My mission area includes much of New England. So far I have worked in Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire. My focus here is to bring others to Christ by sharing the gospel with them. There is nothing else that I have done in my life that I am prouder of. Seeing others come closer to God and Christ is a miraculous thing. Besides teaching gospel lessons, I do a lot of service for people that I work around, regardless of them being a member of this church or not.

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

The services of the church are family-oriented. After all, the restored church is a blessing that our Father in Heaven has given us. There is something there for everybody. Everybody is welcome to come. Those who do have the Lord's promise that they will feel His Spirit more in their lives. You can find a building near your home with http://mormon.org/meetinghouse. The chapels usually have a plaque or display which says "visitors welcome", the name of the church is also written on it: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Missionaries for the church would be happy to help you know what to expect at Sacrament Meeting or other meetings. You can contact them through http://mormon.org/missionaries. Show more Show less
