Hi I'm Amber Drake

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Springfield, Oregon. I am will be studying School Psychology at a school in Oregon.

About Me

I served a mission in the Family and Church History Mission in Salt Lake City, Utah. I never thought I would serve a mission doing my family history. It was such a good experience were I learned so much about the gospel and about eternal families. I especially learned about my family who have died before me. What a great way to be able to bring people to the gospel. I have learned to love others no matter who they are or how they have been raised. I have learned that just because people are different we aren't the ones to judge them. We need to love them because that is what Christ would want us to do. We are all sons and daughters of God who loves us unconditionally! It isn't our place to put people down. We aren't perfect and neither are the people around us.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in to a Mormon family but even then you have to know if it is true for yourself. I prayed to know that the Book of Mormon was true. I had to have faith that the things I learned while I was young were true.

How I live my faith

Each Monday night we have Family Home Evening were we gather together and have a lesson about a gospel related subject. We have an activity and most of the time we go out and do a service project. Recently we were able to get boxes together for those who don't get to have a Thanksgiving dinner. We went to their homes and delivered the boxes to those families. Once, we raked leaves for other people. Just random people without them knowing who it was or that we were doing it. We always have such a good time serving others because we know that they will be so grateful that someone has done something for them.
