Hi I'm Mitch

I'm a music loving, guitar playing guy who wants to live life to the fullest!....and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a pretty average guy who's chill, laid back and likes to have a good time with people. I grew up in Provo, Utah (a.k.a. the mother ship) but I'm living in the south right now and it's awesome! I'll be going to college in the near future and I'm still figuring out what I want to do. Music is a huge part of my life, and I love playing guitar. I could sit and play, trying to learn a song for hours. I like to play sports as well. I played on a rugby team my senior year of high school grew to love the sport. I love the outdoors and like to go mountain biking, 4 wheeling, boating and just about anything else you can think of. Overall I'm a pretty simple person who likes to be active and just have fun and make life enjoyable

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and raised in it my whole life. My dad and his side of the family have been members since the early days of the church. My mom was a convert to the church from Portugal and she is the only member on her side of the family. I gained a testimony of Jesus Christ and His gospel from the experiences I've had in my life. I've mainly done the simple things. I've gone to church, read the scriptures and prayed. I've read the Book of Mormon and as I've prayed I didn't get an overwhelming feeling that many people describe as God's answer to them. I've read the Book of Mormon numerous times though, and have prayed about it, and I have never had a doubt in my mind, or heart that it is true. I didn't need an overwhelming confirmation because I knew it was true from reading it, and living what it teaches. I know the Book of Mormon is another witness of Jesus Christ, and I know that it is true. I'm a Mormon because I know the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I know it's true because the gospel is all about bringing out the best of me, and helping bring out the best in others, and see each other as God sees us. I know the gospel is true because as I've lived it I've experienced the blessings and happiness it brings. I would not be the person I am today without the teachings of Jesus Christ in my life or the knowledge of God's plan of salvation. I know God lives, that he is our Heavenly Father and that he has a plan for me, and all his children. That gives me a perspective on life that nothing else can especially when life gets tough. There is peace, and happiness for us and our families through the gospel of Jesus Christ. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the best I can to follow the example and teachings of Jesus Christ. The way I live shows how I follow Jesus Christ, in who I am and what I do. I want to be the kind of person that people can rely on, who will always feel better about themselves and the good that's in them from being around me. I try to do what's right in all situations and when I make mistakes, do my best to learn from them and be better next time. There's so much that can be written about how to live one's faith but that's how I try to live mine, in a nutshell.
