Hi I'm Alex Tolman

I grew up in L-town Utah. I love all winter and summer sports. I have a wonderful family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Most people call me "Tolly". I was adopted into the most amazing family when I was three days old. My parents have raised me up in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love all types of sports. During the winter I freestyle ski and every once in a while hit some pow'. During the summer I love to go boating and wakeboard, tube, airchair, wakeskate, wakesurf, kneeboard and anything else you can do behind a boat. My favorite place on earth is Lake Powell. I love going to the gym and staying fit. Soccer, Golf and Football are my thing though. I plan on attending the U of U or BYU and getting a law degree in a couple of years. I love to sit back and relax with my friends and family. I love watching movies and getting a good laugh in. I'm a very energetic and outgoing person. I'm addicted to Olive Garden. I love to make people laugh and just have a good time.

Why I am a Mormon

I wasn't always the best person I could have been. Around 9th grade I got into trouble and fell away from the church. There came a time when I was around 16-17 when I had to know for myself if the church was true. My parents and most of my friends continued to be supportive of me no matter what I was doing, and really helped me find the joy and happiness I needed that comes through this wonderful gospel. I finally found out for myself one Sunday morning that this church was true, and that the Lord had big plans for me. I now know the wonderful power of forgiveness through our savior Jesus Christ. I promise anyone and everyone who is stuggling in life, or who even feel it's just to late to be forgiven, that that isn't at all the case. No matter what we have done or how we bad we feel, you CAN be forgiven. It just takes that very first step of having the desire to change, and then acting upon it, that makes all the difference. I know that if you think no one knows how you feel, that Christ does. I have seen the power of his atonement and eternal sacrifice in my own life and I testify that it is real. Heavenly father hears and answers prayers, we just have to do our part and talk to him. I promise you will feel more joy, happiness, love and peace as you center your life around this gospel and his eternal plan for you.

How I live my faith

I love all the callings I've had in this church. I love to work with the younger children and all the youth in Primary. I enjoy participating in the Boy Scouts of America and seeing boys gain responsibility and knowledge for their future. I love being a missionary and sharing the gospel with everyone around me. I love to go to church activities and parties and see all the people I do and don't know! I live my faith by trying to show everyone around me how happy you can be with the gosepl in your life.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Alex Tolman
As members of the Church we do not worship Joseph Smith. But, just as they respected prophets of old, such as Moses, Noah and Abraham, we appreciate and follow the direction they receive from our Father in Heaven. We know know the guidance we are given is revealed to them from God just as he revealed his word in times of old (Amos 3:7). Show more Show less
