Hi I'm Diana Snider Todd

I have lived in California most of my life. I am a widow/newly married woman. I sold health insurance. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in California most of my life. I have worked since I was sixteen. I am a widow at home raising two teen age boys right now. My husband passed over a year ago. I worked selling health insurance and was terminated due to choosing to stay home with my sick husband. We loved to go on vacation to Lake Tahoe and camping to Dillions Beach. Here is an update on my life. I'm now married and my new husband lost his wife due to cancer. We are moving to Louisiana soon. We know Heavenly Father put us together. I feel a connection as we find pennies from our previous spouses. My sister who was close to my first husband had a dream that he gave her a penny in the dream which turned to two pennies. She said she knew she had to give me a penny. We both found a penny right after she told me that dream. Now we find pennies when we least expect it. I notice pennies a lot when I'm serving.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother's side of the family were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, so my mother had us go to church and be baptized at a young age. As I got older we drifted away from the church. My mother didn't go to church. I had a strong feeling of the church and was drawn back to it in my early thirties. I knew I didn't live the way my Father in Heaven wanted me to live and wanted to change. I prayed with a sincere heart for forgiveness. I had a powerful experience days after that prayer of a hot feeling that over came me. It started from my shoulders and went to the top of my head, I was driving when this happened so I pulled over. It soon left and I felt a cleansing sensation through my head. It is so hard to describe. It felt so good. I soon was married and started attending church again full time. As I attended church and read my scriptures. I came across Nephi 3 12:2 and Nephi 3 9:20 which confirmed to me that I was baptized with fire at that time but knew it not. This was a real testimony to me. Since then I try my best to live the gospel. It has brought me true happiness. I have had a lot of prayers answered and know this is the true church on the earth today. Jesus Christ is the head of the church and it is lead by a true prophet. I know the boy Joseph Smith is a true prophet that helped establish the church back on the earth. I am so grateful to have the true gospel in my life. I have been sealed to my husband and two son in the temple for eternity. I miss my husband dearly. It brings peace to me knowing we will see each other again.

How I live my faith

I have had numerous callings in the church. I have taught nursery children up to 13 year old children. I learned the most as I taught. The lessons were really for me. This has strengthen me as a person. It has built my character. I have served on the activity committee which is helping put events together for social gatherings. I have visited members and helped with their needs. What a blessing it is to help others. It is the best feeling in the world. I have helped with humanitarian events. I try to remember to read my scriptures, pray daily, have family home evening, and attend church regularly. When I do these things is when I'm the happiest. I know I will never be perfect and try to stay humbled by living the way my Heavenly Father wants me to live.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Diana Snider Todd
I have found by giving without expecting anything in return has brought me great joy. I have a testimony of serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have been an active member for over 20 years and have had different callings in the church. These callings include teaching primary, helping with activity planning, Boy Scout leadership, and leading in the Relief Society. All these callings have brought me personal joy by giving my time and means in helping build the Lords church. I'm truly blessed to be a part of this wonderful work on this earth in the Latter Days and to have personal knowledge through the Holy Ghost of its truthfulness. I wish I could implant all the personal testimonies I have into others, so they can feel the JOY it brings me, but that is the beauty of the gospel we have our agency to find out for ourselves. Agency is so special, it is a gift our Father in Heaven gave each of us to find out for ourselves. This way you don't have to wonder what I'm saying is true, you can find out for yourself. Our missionaries can answer questions and help guide us so we can find out for ourselves. I challenge anyone reading this, who has a real desire, to know for their selves to contact our missionaries. I promise you will know. What a comfort especially in these days. Show more Show less
