Hi I'm Lucio

I grew up in the Philippines. I am currently working while pursuing a juris doctor degree. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am active in the community. I endeavor to be always updated of what's going on in the world. My hobbies include reading international events especially issues on economy, politics, religion, and current trends. As a convert to Mormonism, I am very tolerant to other faiths' doctrines and practices without of course compromising my standards. I love to mingle with all kinds of people.I love physical sports even if I have a slim physique. I want to be a lawyer and eventually becoming a public servant.

Why I am a Mormon

My good friend invited me to go with him in the church one Sunday. The people in there are good and happy. But it was no surprise to me because I got the same treatment whenever I visited different churches.Few days later, a sister missionary called me and told me they've got a good message which they want to share with me.I agreed and that's the beginning of my conversion. I got impressed with the discussion about the plan of salvation especially the idea that a family can be together forever and committed myself to pray if it was true. After much study and prayer and pondering, I was convinced that what the missionaries were teaching were true so I decided to be baptized. I continue to study the church teachings and had the opportunity to serve a full time mission in Northern Mindanao. I can say that those two years as a full-time missionary were one of the most wonderful and fulfilling segments of my life so far. I am a Mormon because I believe that God called a living prophet to guide His people for them to return to His presence in the next life. I believe that Jesus is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. His Atonement was real. Finally, I believe that some of the best answers to our questions in life cannot be found through reading books but is revealed by the Holy Spirit through genuine and heartfelt prayers.

How I live my faith

I believe that seeking God's righteousness should be my foremost priority. I endeavor to live up my faith by following Jesus Christ and living up with His teachings. I believe that the most effective missionary tool is doing what is good and right. I respect everyone's religion but always love to share to others what are the values and teachings of Mormonism which I believe can add up to the good things they already possessed.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony means that you personally know that something is true because you felt it inside. Faith is crucial in gaining a testimony because without this, the Holy Ghost may not be able to bear witness of the truthfulness of a thing you want to know to be true. Gaining a personal testimony is very important for us to endure to the end and gain eternal life. Show more Show less
