Hi I'm Makay

I grew up in Vernal, Utah. I am an eagle scout. I served a full time mission in Montana. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports. I am involved in wrestling and cross county. I love to hunt and fish and I like to be outdoors in general.I love to sing and dance. I love to spend time with family and friends. Family is the most precious to me. I am currently serving a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am serving in the Montana Billings mission. When I return, I hope to be able to go into the medical field.

Why I am a Mormon

I love to serve the lord. I take every given opportunity to serve and do my best. I hope to bring others into the gospel and share what I know. I am doing everything that I possibly can to bring the world it's truth. I am laboring diligently each day in high hopes that God's children to the light and truth. It deeply saddens me when I see them rejecting the word because if only they could see that whole picture then they would be really wanting to learn. I also know that God gave us our agency as one of our most powerful tools so that we can learn and grow for ourselves. I love this gospel with all my heart, might, mind, and strength and I would have no other way

How I live my faith

I put my full faith and trust in the Lord because I know that he directs this wonderful work that I am involved in. I know that he puts us in certain situation in certain parts of our lives so that we can learn and grow. I am diligent in becoming a covenant keeping people. I recognize the blessings that becoming exactly obedient bring and I know that the Lord would want nothing other then what I am doing myself. I know that God is a just God and that our lives are measured on the scales of justice. I hope that one day when I stand before my maker and am being judged for my works on earth, that my Savior can stand beside me and stand as my witness that I've given all I got. Because I feel his love for me I try to let other people experience that for themselves. The Savior stands at the door ready to help us at any given moment if we but let him in.

What is faith?

Faith is a knowledge of things hoped for but not seen. It is an action word to act upon feelings and promptings and knowing that you will receive eternal blessings. It has lead me to act in such a way so that I can know where I need to find more investigators in my areas. It is faith that we must put into action to hasten the work of salvation. It is a great thing that we have been called at this time in our lives to act as effective tools in the hands of our loving Savior. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

The Church counsels that every member is a missionary. When young men are at the age of 18 they have the opportunity to serve a two year mission. It is their choice because everyone is granted with free agency. To be able to prosper it is important for young men to serve missions. Young women on the other hand are to have their first priority to get married. They are not required to serve a mission, although they can if they so choose. They go when they are 19 years old and only serve for one and a half years. Show more Show less
