Hi I'm Jacob

I am an artist, a musician, and love to play volleyball, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student at the Brigham Young University Idaho studying art. I am working my way towards working with Disney's Pixar as an animator. I enjoy using many different media to create my art, from sculpture to painting, cross stitch to baking, I do it all. Just as art is important in my life, I do not know where I would be without music. I listen to many different genres of music, and play a large variety of different instruments (piano, flute, piccolo, fife, drums and percussion, etc.). I love to be active and to play sports. Basketball and Volleyball are at the top of my list, and I go and play volleyball every week.

Why I am a Mormon

As a missionary, I really had the chance to come close to my Saviour, and my faith in Him grew. I experienced so many miracles, and simple divine truths were made clear to me. I would like to share a few of them: I know that a young boy went into a grove of trees in the spring of 1820, and that Jesus Christ with his glorified Father appeared to him, giving that boy, Joseph Smith, charge of restoring the lost Church of Jesus Christ again upon the earth. I know that he had later visitations from heavenly messengers who conferred the priesthood keys of the ministry to him. I know that those keys have remained on the earth since then, and that our beloved prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson, carries that same mantel of prophet and the keys of that same ministry. I know that he receives revelation. I know that he received revelation as he extended the call to me to serve a mission in the Alpine German-speaking Mission . I know that his calling came from the Lord. There was no other place I could have gone that would have helped me as much as as that mission did in my progression to return to return to my Heavenly Father. I know these things are true.

How I live my faith

I served a mission in the Alpine German Speaking Mission from October 2011 to October 2013, and served specifically in Zürich, Switzerland for the two year period. Since returning to the states, I have been asked to help with my local congregation as a local assistant financial clerk.
